Site Audit: New Level in Crawling of Shopify Websites
February 20, 2020
We have amazing news for Shopify website owners! We have completed the final cycle of training the Site Audit algorithm to crawl sites built on this platform.
Shopify is one of the most popular e-commerce solutions that facilitate setting up an online store: organize products, customize a storefront, and manage orders and payments.
We used to have issues with the crawling of this type of website because Shopify is an online platform, and standard crawl delay settings for a specific site didn’t resolve the issue.
We’re happy to announce that now you can check your Shopify website for over 120 on-page and technical SEO issues without any problems! The same mechanism applies to Squarespace websites.
You don’t need any specific settings to configure the Site Audit tool for a Shopify website, and the new algorithm already works for all existing projects. Namely, the tool:
Identifies Shopify websites automatically and crawls the site at the optimal speed.
Now, in the case of a 429 error, the tool will double-check the page availability a moment later.
There are no false positive "broken internal links" or “unavailable pages” issues.
What do you think of this update? If you have a Shopify or Squarespace website, we would be very grateful if you would check your site health in the Site Audit.
If there are any crawling issues or you’d like to share your thoughts, feel free to write to us at site-audit-feedback@sr03.myamztools.com. We are happy to become better for you!
